Looks like this is set to go. Dwellingup campout weekend saturday 4th for trials and DH. Nice area, and looks like a good group coming....
=======================================
We haven't been anywhere interesting lately. Anyone interested in going to dwellingup or similar again sometime early to mid october? (ie in three weeks?)
Don't know about the uni guys and those who work, but I've got two weeks free and wouldn't mind a weekend to errr.... de-stress...

Sounds good robin, I'm going cheap until 22nd october as I pick up my new forester XS then, so I would be keen to give it a bit of offroad action, but maybe you where looking at going earlier.

My vacation ends 13th October, Luke, so you may have to wait with showing us your rally skills in that forrester untill another time.
You can afford a couple bucks to spend a weekend camping with your buddies can't you???
Anyway, weekends avaibable for me are 27th sept, 4th oct or 11th oct... Best for me would be the weekend of 4/5, but anyone is fine... And I don't mind spending more than just two days away...
Let's see when we can get most people together, and pick a spot; narrogin, dwellingup, anywhere! I need out!

Yere, I really don't mind. If no-one else has a voice I vote for the weekend starting the 4th. Haven't been to dwellingup for a while and don't mind going again; it's always different there.
If people want other places or other times PLEASE POST! Neil said prefer the week before, Luke seems keen to ride with the freeriders then. Need a tiebraker...
This would be mostly a trials weekend, neil. But Dwellingup's a great place to bring a DH bike along too.
If we don't get something concrete by sat I'm going to set this as Dwellingup 4th; as I have to message other in time as well... 27th might just be a tad close.
Who would be coming?

Robin,
Sounds like a reasonable suggestion for the 4th. And the location is good, not to far away and not to expensive for anyone. I say this is good want to set this in.

I'll aim for the 4th, though I'm back at Uni on the 6th (Monday). I have a tent so When I came along to last year's States I rode around there ('normal' bike) for about 3 hours afterwards, it was so refreshing. Still cant beleive no one went swimming though..... Might be an idea to bring a spare 'normal bike', and cruise around or hurt ourselves doing DH.... Speed scares me

Uni on the 6th? should be allright. We can leave on friday or even thursday if you you're better off then... Latecomers can meet up with us on sat or summink.
I'll have to check my tents. I still have that one VERY small two person tent I've shared on multiple occasions with Daniel, but you need to be very confident of your sexuality if you are to handle that: ("Oy, Daniel, scoot over, you're prodding my hip again" "Oh sorry man, let me just roll onto my other side...")
Good memories... You've missed out on all the good trips haven't you Dave? About time we got you along. Marcus as well...
I think I have a leaking three person tent as well, but that'll be allright unless it rains.
I'd definately be bringing my mtb for some runs. And go for a swim this time again now that it's, like, not July and all...

I'm ok for the 4th but wont be able to get there till the arvo, as working on sat morning, and back on sunday arvo fro work on monday I'll just bring my trials bike... otherwise it just gets too much trying too get rides in for every thing... and there is heaps downs there to ride on with the trials.

any females coming? my girlfriend may come for a mtb ride, but if there is no others then maybe not you know, would interfere with the pissing on of trees and the throwing of rocks at trees. i'll might bring 5 wheels- 20",mtb,unicycle- may be able to ride on the smooth rocky stuff. but then again, my car fits unicycle only.... whoa a tandem recliner bike thingo just went past, 2 wheels on the front, one on the back.

Not too many here who seem to have girls dedicated enough to bring along; you see, we prioritise: girls/bikes.... Bikes...
I'm sure we can get someone along to keep her company. Laurien, luke? or maybe dave's girl, katie... Also, if you're really desperate then Pieter generally has a few to spare...

I can bring a couple of girls, they are real very *friendly* persons as well let you do them any which way you please. They have huge breasts and small behinds. The great thing is if they get lippy or are taking up to much space in the car on the way down you can just deflate them and fold them up ready for when you need them next.

Oh my god... you said ASS on my forum.... You meant the donkey right? Then it's ok...
I got one of those girls from my friends as a going away present when I left from holland coming here. Didn't bring her with me because I didn't want to have to show her to customs. I hooked her up with my uncle who said he'd always wanted a girl like that...

Sorry, neil, looks like no others are real keen to go friday (also none I contact by sms). It's not worth going that early with so few so I'll bum out too.
BUT I've always loved travel by convoy.
A few of us will be coming straight down the freeway (probably best for you too if you're in NB) so brad suggested the Byford liquer store like we did before. (it's a very convenient place to meet...). Also Daniels down from rockingham, tom & dave from freo, so armadale is a bit high up. Say, 10:30 am in that case?
Yes, we're at baden powell. Usually free, but if the ranger comes along it's something like $3 pp. A tent you'll share either with me or Paul. (he's got the 3p). Let me know if you need an air mattress or a sleeping bag.
Actually, I'm picking paul up to bring him down from Mt Lawley. If you want to save fuel, I can pick you up also. That funny little green bike of your will fit in the back fine. Contact me if you're keen on that. I've sent my mobile to your e-mail.
And each for himself for food and drinks is fine by me.

I got a 4p tent... and my g/f aint coming, so who looks prettiest in the dark and needs to share a tent Robin, do you have one of them electric pumps for airmatresses?? I tried inflating mine with a foot pump and it literally took an hour.. or does that big manly heavy duty tyre pump work for them?
|
|
|
Post by admin on Oct 1, 2003 22:09:57 GMT 8
Sorry dave, we got them hi-tech self-inflating ones. Our electric pump's bust and I don't think you can use that biggun to inflate your airmattress
