Hay Dave, if I get this Monty from huxter it will be a complete bike, and I'm still considering a new Chris King rear hub as well, depending on cash flow.
Any way point is that I will prob have at least a set of cranks and bottom braket and posibly a rear hub if you are still contemplating building lukes Norco frame.
Not sure how soon this will all happen but let me know if your interested and I'll keep you posted.
Oh by the way it will be a sillent clutch hub and sugino cranks.

I e-mailed huxter about that myself and got a reply... You're not trying to steal my bike are you???
I'll talk to you about this saturday; I'm sure we can get two bikes sent down below cost if we smile politely. Seems like a really good guy.
My forks just suddenly developed new cracks through the welds..... They're HUGE. I'm scaired to ride that thing now...

um, what to say except WOW...
I would be interested in the bits mentioned (I take it you're holding on to the rest of your current Monty though?).
Another juicy bit would be your HS33's....... but I'm guessing they will be transplanted to the new machine.
Onya fellas
dangerous Dave

hello,
talking about building bikes, i might be getting a new one of my own too in the not so distant future. say 6 months down the road.
i will sell my current bike but will most probably bring swap a few parts like my crank set cos it got my favouritest freewheel on it, and also my headset. my titanium spoke laced front wheel might be on the selling bike though (i just found out dt ti spokes cost $8 each in australia.. omg!!).
in summary it would be a 2002 frame with certain 2003 parts (bar/stem, crank set). may or may not come with brakes though. *shrug* i haven't decided wat model i wanted and i really like my racelines.. haha. bike would go for probably around the $1000 mark with front Ti spokes.
anyways, i'm still in the saving phase.. so yeah let me know if anyone's interested. will keep you guys posted on how close i am at getting bike.
goodbye.

There won't be much left of my current Monty Dave. I'll see what i have when the time comes. Possibly brakes, bar and stem as well as the other parts mentioned, and prob front wheel. Not much point selling frame or fork cause they are pretty dead, or at least will be when I'm finnished with it, and the back wheel is only just hanging on for grim life. will let you know when the ime comes. And I thought you didn't like Monty's Robin? sudden change of heart? It is a pretty good deal though. so RACK OFF its MINE!!!!

True; I'm not all that much of a Monty fan (yet), but I REALLY NEED A NEW BIKE - and his deal's pretty darn good (plus the extras he's throwing in). It'll still be heaps better than my destroyed rockhopper. Besides, I can change my mind can't I?
I think we can get a dual thing going if we try for it.

re: Monty for Robin. When you order it make sure you tell him that you ride with the brakes front left, cause I don't think that you can turn a lever with a resiviour, up side down. If you don't you may have to buy a new lever. Just a tip. I remembered that Stefan had a problem with that when he got his new 20", not that he rode it tha much after he got it anyway.

ye, was planning on it, thanks.
Huxter said he'd throw in heaps of extras, one thing he said he'd add were pedal boosters.... What the hell are those??? I couldn't even find them on the internet...

I think it might be brake boosters not pedal boosters. But not completly certain about that.
