Look what I just got in: Rides pretty well; The geometry isn't all that far off my old bike so I'm not having too much trouble getting used to it. Interesting things to note: The Louise disc up front seems to be a little weak. It's steadily improving as the disc is evening out though. I am getting a little bit of pump; maybe lost some fluid when steven swapped the levers for me. This bike has a 25" rear rim. They didn't shorten the chainstays accordingly though; not sure why not. There's a full inch of room between the tire and the triangle off the BB. (It's not to be able to fit in a standard wheel either; the magura mounts are placed too low to allow for that) The stem is much lower than I expected. There is almost no rise, and the handlebars ended up being a full inch lower than what my old bike was (and what Brad's bike is). Because of this it feels a bit more difficult to pull up; once on the back wheel though, it's easy as hell to play around with. I did do as steven said and cut down the shifter straight away. Even with the cut it's too large. Gotta make it even shorter! I think you'll end up doing this too, brad! Bike isn't as manouverable when on two wheels; think it's cuz of the low stem. Very nice on the back wheel though. I WANNA RIDE! SEE YA ALL SUNDAY!

the disk will take a while to bed in. Do some runs down a hill and put them on and drag them. Looks good!!! Looks weird with the seat in it for some reason. It is a bloody low stem though. I think thats the stile that some of the euro's are going towards, low and short front end. Can't wait to have a play on it myself!! See ya on sunday.

Yer, the seat is a little weird. The seatpost that came with the seat is too long; it won't go down any more than in the picture. Rides nicely without seat, but the seat is kinda kewl so i might try and think of a way to mod it.
Stem really is low; but the riser bars make up for most of the loss. (titanium bars look very classy).
I was also surprised that the paint scheme is so different from the older montys. No complaints here though!

gotta ask though, does this one live outside with the others, or does it have pride of place in the house??
And what titanium bars? I thought they were alloy, but anodised green.

It's caged in the garage just like its siblings.
Bars are "titanium colour" like Marcus' bars. Don't spoil it man!

you newbies...
lower stem due to the riser bar.. my 20" stem is lower than my old stem too when monty had straight bars..
and if you want your front end to come up quicker.. tilt the bar back (only for bender bars). you can tilt it as far back until the middle portion of the bar points directly upwards, won't recommend tilting it back further.
this paint scheme been out since august last year.. haha. so throw some dirt on it to make it look well used. if you reaaaly wanna get into it, take out a hammer and give the chain stays a few whacks.. downtube as well.

Just because we don't keep up to date with all the newest gadgets and trinkets.... gives us more time to concentrate on important things like riding.... besides we haven't been able to afford them, until recently, infact I still cant afford it, well I haven't got the money together yet anyway, all the gismos in the world aint going to make you a better rider. Besides I know the stem is going to be lower when you run a riser bar... you think I stupid?? I kick your ass! Just kidding, I'll just win another state championship again this year. ;D
