hiya choom Go for what appeals to ya most. And also consider price.. a specced up stock (26") bike will cost more than a mod (20"). But taking a small framed 'normal' MTB and adding a few trials specific parts (hello bashring!) is cheaper again, but geometry is not as good. I ride a stock bike coz it appeals to me more, it is obviously bigger and heavier than mods but it rolls over stuff a little better, I have concerns about breaking another mech hanger blah blah blah... return to 1st statement.. I'm only a novice, some other guys have both stock and mod, but there's my 2 cents Respect for both types...

Hey for a big guy like me I look like a monkey on a circus bike on a 20", 20" are cheating if you ask me, there lighter, easier and can never look like your riding a normal mountain bike. At the same time I certainly respect the massive amounts of skill and ability a lot of mod riders have.
