Hey neil, those end bolt thingies aren't all that bad to get fit onto the HS33 hose. Instead of trying to lock the bolt and pushing the hose on; Clamp the cable leaving about 2 cm to spare, then just use a hammer to tap the fitting into the cable. That's why I do mech and you do electrical (shut up dave, I was loosening the wrong bolt on purpose - to see if you would notice) Think I screwed up bleeding though... gotta do it again tomorrow...

hmm good idea. my hs33's and xt front hub are here. need to shorten the hose though. I have an olive with the pack, so i'm going to get some oil and then borrow your kit if that's ok i've contacted shuxter about getting some more olive what oil was that /where is it?

Kind of on topic.
If you want cheap mineral oil i use (well when i had a poogura) 2.5 weight motorbike shock oil. 1L for $10. Lasts forever, cant go wrong.

Shock oil'd be fine. It's all good as long as it's not DOT fluid. Any mineral oil if I'm right...
I always just used Castrol mineral oil. Comes in a green bottle. Can't remember cost though. Would have lasted me forever... If the cap hadn'd split...
