Everyone's away, so I'm up to mischief... um, what to do Just been for a solo ride to check out Piney Lakes park in Murdoch. There's some small groups of limestone rocks, a large kiddy area full of limestone walls w/benches and some good gaps between them, some elevated sloping tiered gardens, small water gaps and a kinda bench/wall thing with two sqare pillars on the end (I can see Brad & Marcus having a go at them..). Some of the stuff is a bit easier (ie doable) for us not-so-expert riders, but there is harder stuff. Best of all it's nice and close to ME If we're looking for somewhere different to try then it might be worth a look. Hope nothing is broken in Albany......

I won't be riding with you guys this w/end either as I'll be back in Narrogin for a skool reunion (OMG, has it really been 10 yrs??? Am I really THAT old??? ). I will however take my bike with me and have a go at the equestrian obstacles there. If you do go to Piney Lakes, the kiddie area and rocks are next to the carpark, also go to the top of the hill for a bit more stuff, and just follow the bikepaths around and see what else ya can use. The bridge near the kiddie park has a limestone line to follow requiring you to come back up onto the bridge again, then dropping off onto the limestone again (should be easy for better riders, but good fun). I have mentioned Curtin Uni before (it's unreal) but forgot to include the Civil Eng materials testing area. It's basically piles of sleepers, concrete blocks, some large logs and other structural remnants. It's easily accessible and I wouldn't see much of a problem with being allowed to jump all over them. There is the occasional steel peg sticking out, but they're easy to avoid and wouldn't ruin a line. Plus Curtin's huge array of walls with pillars, benches and some weird looking large outdoor sculptures which we could be really creative with.

How about meeting at garden city and then moving on to Murdoch?
Be good to have someone with us who know the campus.
