Hey Brad, do we have a fixed number on how many are riding on the 29th? They want us to go for 3+ hours don't they? We'll need a bunch...
And what about this thing on the 12th of sept. Who is riding that? And are we selling tickets for that as well?
Oh, might have to get some more off you next weekend to sell.

Hey guys, brakes are on with these frames, me and brad nutted out the plans really well, I've just got a massive several thousand tax bill so that has sucked me dry for a while. Sorry I can't afford to get these built for a bit. I think we will need to be creative to come up with some cheap alternatrives for the demo. I can't do anyting this weekend as I am working, but am fully prepared to shovel as much time as I can into getting this done in the weekends after. Can we use pallets or drums or anything else to come up with a good solution. SOurcing these shouldn't be an issue.

errr, we need to get something done quick then... we got three weeks... Might have to make another day out of it?
Remember we should get around $300 for selling the tickets; and I'm sure it'll work out allright if we split the cost... Just tell them to at least build the steel frames for us; they've got to be able to give us some leeway...

Look we'll manage... I'll give the price family a call and see if we can borrow some stuff from them
As far as riders are concerned i was thinking of me, kuba Marcus, Pieter, robin if your keen, daniel if your keen, and anyone with some nice party tricks

Ya it basically comes down to having to fork out the money for the steel in advance. After all it's a favor job and basically it would be ripping off RCR if they built it from there supplies so I don't think I have much leverage in that area.
Sorry to have stuffed it up but I just can't afford it at the moment, normally no problem. When I get a moment, I'm flat out all week and weekend with work(I'm still at work now 9:30) I'll see if I can just get enough to build one box, i'll scope how much it costs. I'm basically prepared to ask jono if we can go for a cruise and just pick pallets and objects up left righ and center from around the suburbs to get somethin together.

actually, brad's idea of getting price's stuff is good. I can trailer again as well.
Hell, I'll ride! I think I should manage just fine if we go in some preset order (ie me or danni first so people are impressed with our little stuff and build up to brad's orsm elegance or something...)
Hey, the zanzi bar website advertises both us and mototrials together... Are we riding with those boys?

On the 12th were all there, bmx, skaters, us, brent on the moto, and heaps of vids of the other guys. Paletes and dog poo take to much to load and unload, ie to heavy to unstable ect and we need to be able to get in and out fairly easily, and I cant be bothered building to much more out of pallets at the moment so I think what we've got, plus a litlle from the moto boy's will get us by, besides there's not that much room to use any way

Cool, just let us know how I can help setup or get stuff. We could always recover the top of the box we made, the one that all the boards keep coming up on

yere thats an option, I think we need to screw them on though, and it shouldn't take too much time.

I have a few spare tek screws lying around that'll fix the box lid.

Personally I think that box needs a rethought lid period... Even with tek screws the boards will pull out after a few good hits. Besides; it's friggin heavy with those hardwood planks!

i checked with zanzibar why the tickets cost $5 when entry is free anyway. they said: "If you just want to enter the venue there will be free entry before 10pm. If you want to enter the venue as a guest of the Mountain Bike Trials Party, you will have to come with an invite. The invitation will entitle you: * To Happy Hour (Reduced) Price Drinks until 11pm. * To Entry into Tentland from 8pm. * The chance to win spot prizes on the night." so its all good. by the way, what time are we riding on that night? 8 to 11?

Brad, did you contact the mototrials boys for their gear? I'll help out if you want.
You've checked out zanzibar right? What's the surface like? If it's all wood or similar I suggest we go down to bunnings and get a whole heap of those anti-slip pads so we can actually ride the gear without skating along on top of them... Also because of such a hard flat surface our structures might not tend to stand perfectly stable unless we put something under them.
Like marcus said, what time are we riding?
"proper prior preparation prevents pis poor performance"
I get four days off next weekend. Anyone else as well? Suggest we have a look at what to take, how, and any fixing up?

Brad/Robin, need 10 (ten) more tickets. Have ppl waiting. Hmm, perhaps a couple extra too, they sell well. I'm also gonna hang on to one for my g/f, unless they've said we can bring a guest. I'm keen to ride, but I'm ok if you guys decide "pros" only.

ah, yeah, about the free drink thing.. it's not stated on the ticket (only the bit about Happy Hour till 11pm). Do they get a drink with the ticket still?

Yes they do get a free drink, they cant advertise it though you know legal and moral reasons, but you hand over the ticket and they give you a drink token. I rang Mark on wed, and I got 50 more on the way. Will have them by this weekend.
