Right, now that we see what is over at the lot and talking to the poles I think there is a general plan to now collect a resonable amount of new pallets. We will be stripping the dog pooy ones that we collect to then re finish the top of the good plallets that will create a flat surface with no gaps on top of the pallets. As outlined I did go out hunting last week but was caught by securitry gaurd on my first attempt at pallet grabbing.
Appoligies to those on Saturday as I couldn't bring the gear as the trailer had two flat tires. I was hoping that most people would be tuirning up mainly for riding but it seemed it was more for building so sorry again for dropping the ball and thanks for turning up.
I plan to collect as many pallets as I can over the next three weeks or so and then have a (fully planned) building day to firm up existing objects( in about 3 weeks)
At this stage the poles think that we could make a really good course using lots and lots of pallets and firm up the old stuff, this sounds good. Neil if you could join me or for that matter anyone in the next couple of weeks on a pallet raid it would be good.
Brad, Robin what do you think ??

give the construction sites a miss maybe. because of those bastards who actually steal useful stuff, like a toilet or two, they have security cameras and patols and whatnot. then they'll try to blame the $X million of goods missing each year on us.
go the companies who leave stacks of pallets lying around. ones with cameras we'll need to ask nicely, but there is ones that just leave em out the back. There is a couple around these parts.
there should be some fairly good stashes around the commercial areas too, like cannington, kewdale, freo, etc ideally find a huge stash near freo:)

Wow, we ARE keen now aren't we? Will join in with you on this new mission in a few short weeks time.
You live near brad now don't you luke? We'll steal his big dual-axle off him for the next run.
Have no idea what happened last weekend or how many turned up. I feel left out...
Loads of construction occurring in my area; pallets, cable reels, structures all for the taking. Also limestone rocks at maybe a ton a piece for the small ones. The forrester will carry that on the roof right?

i worse comes to worse, jasons has 2nd hand from $2.50 i'm assuming if they sell them they still gotta be in some sorta usable condition. they probably have dog poo in the bin we can have for free, for hammering onto other stuff and strengthening. www.jasonspallets.com.au/wooden.htmlthere was adam, poles, luke and ii at freo- paul cut his finger pretty bad in the first 5 minutes and then they went home.

Good point. Prolly even worth checking if they'll just give us some good ones if we explain to them what we do, and do demo's on their palets with those logos on or summink.

Good plan neil, how many do you think we can get, at 2.50 it would almost be cost effective as the petrol on scoping missions would be nearley the same

Jasons pallets said that they turfed the $2.50 ones yesterday and they where only babys anyway. Second hand normals are $11.00 each. Still not a bad price. Raiding missions !!
