Just got this message through from Patrick Couser:
Hi Robin,
Any more thoughts on doing a demo for the Bikeweek MTB Openday on March23rd. If possible a demo around 12 noon would be good then BBQ. Please let me know if you think you can put on a demo and what yourexpenses would be. CHeers, Pat
You're most experienced in this field; what do you want me to tell him? I was thinking prolly the best guys for the demo are you, Pieter, and Kuba.

Um.... can I get back to you on that? If all is well, then yere. I think that if you and Marcus, who I believe is back, would be more than able to do it too. We'll have to see what we've got on the gear front. But we've got more than enough time to make some. Raise this on Saturday arvo.

Guys I was browsing the Bindoon Dirt Drags site ( held on the 23rd of March) and it says that there will be Mountain Bike Trials stunt riders there. Are you guys demoing there is it's strange that the Moutain Bike open day is the same day??

What's the site? Let me check it out. We're doing the demo for MTB open day.
Hey luke, I've been trying to get a hold of you all day. We're meeting up at my place tomorrow at 10 (monday). We'd like to get all you gear over if possible. Let me know in the morning. call at home.

This is all the information I got on that:
"The Trials Bike Demo is organised by Adam from Dust Promotions"
Anyone know who this is??? I think Luke was right and it probably is motorbike trials. On their website they actually have listed mountain bike trials though. And they're having freestyle bmx and skate demo's too.
I'll give this adam guy a call sometime.

Just got e-mail back from Patrick: HI Robin, Ive ccd this to Mike Thorman, WAMBA president who'll actually be running the show on the day. It would be great to have you guys along, and it would be a good opportunity for you to get some more members. Im not sure that we'll be able to stretch to the full $250, but we should be able to cover the majority of it, but we'll need receipts. The best place to set up would be the car park at the top of the pic-nic area near the dam. (not the MTB gazebo) When you turn off Nettleton Rd to get into Langford park, cross over the railway, turn right at the roundabout (signed MTB). Follow the dirt road round till you get to a big 5-way intersection with other main dirt roads and turn sharp left which will take you back down towards the grassed picnic area. There should be plenty of space there and also soem natural features (rocks) that you might be able to make use of.
Cheers, Pat

Guys sorry about last weekend, I had to work all saturday, I want to get all that stuff down to the lot from up here so you guys can decide what you want to use for the demo. If you have an ideas or need more cable reels ect we could do a hard core mission Friday Night and Saturday to get what you need for the demo the following weekend. Let us know, I've got tomorrow off (tuesday)so if ya need any running around I can do some tomorrow. Also I've still got quite a bit of gear up at Kalamunda so what else needs to be built. Still keen to go out to Mundaring Weir next saturday?

for receipts I think just a little paper with signature is what they need... I think Marcus and Brad on the demo. You were both keen and you've both done it before.
I don't mind friday night for gear honestly. Else sunday evening? If it really can't work any other way I can move something on saturday evening and do things then?

I dont mean to butt in or anything. but for the demo you guys are doing on the 23rd, if you have any problems getting stuff down there i might be able to help out. i am 90% certain of going to watch and i'll be taking 2 bikes in the back of a Toyota Hilux ute, so if you need room for bikes or obstacles for the demo i should be able to take some. this is just an offer if you think you might need extra transport. just post in here if you might need me.
more than happy to help the trials GURU's of perth, ASH

thanks for the offer ash and dave, but i think that we've got it covered. If you would like to get down there and help us unload and set up then that would be welcome. the pack up is allways a time for welcome help so stick around afterwards if you can.

Robin, regarding reciets.
You probably should get a ABN, this will allow you to be paid legally from people who do want a demo with reciets.
I had to get on for the 4wd show. Just log onto the australian government sight, sorry dont know the address and type abn, Mine was a non profit buisness under the name watrials. Youll have to do it eventually anyway, so you might as well do it now!
