Mine this time... My old mountainbike got stolen from UWA today during lectures; man there's some thingyheads out there...
You've all seen it at some stage; a blue Klein, pre-production demo model. On it it's got: Atomlab pedals, front radially laced wheel (silver), Rear mavic 517 on a XT disc hub (black). Seat is blue/black. Handlebars are black. The downtube is heavily dented.
There's not too many Kleins out here so if you see one; or even a frame like it maybe with a different paintjob have a peek.
The bike needs service so if you happen to be in a shop let them know. Main thing would be repairs on the rear hub; so note the wheel.
Stupid wankers...

Yeah; heavy duty cable... Not good enough though...
I called up police to tell em and I got: "yeah, yeah... we've been gettin a lot of bike reports from UWA lately"
I went to local security and they said: "Yup, there's a guy going around with bolt cutters. He kneels down near the bike, cuts the lock, puts on his helmet, and rides away like normal"...
After hearing that I wonder if anything is actually being DONE about it??? Almost like "yeah, I know that guy... he has about 20 bikes now. Let's see who he gets next..."
Not happy...

i told ya that cable wasn't enough robin yeah there are heaps of bikes stolen from uwa all the time. where was it?
thinking about slapping another D on mine now, already use both a D and a cable.
cables are just too easy, me old giant bike was 1 strand of the cable away from being nicked back in high school, and that strand fell apart when i touched it. teachers saw em. then it got stolen from home anyway hehe

should be a change to the law so any bike thief caught shall be given to trials riders to use as obstacles, especially for riders like me who are not quite as gentle on equipment...
that's assuming that anyone actually makes any effort to apprehend these f'wits..
